AMDA New York City

We invite you to join us and immerse yourself in the cultural heart of Manhattan’s Upper West Side, where world-class arts, lush parks, and vibrant city life come together to create an unparalleled college experience at AMDA's New York Campus.

The constant buzz of America’s largest city doesn’t just come from the lights of Broadway; it comes from the bohemian heritage of the West Village, the underground beats of Harlem, and the arias soaring from the Met. Performers from every country and discipline are drawn to Manhattan to pursue their dreams. Now it’s your turn.

Why AMDA New York?

Founded in 1964, AMDA New York is located in one of Manhattan’s most iconic neighborhoods, the Upper West Side. The AMDA campus is surrounded by some of the world’s most renowned performance and arts venues, including the Broadway Theater District, Lincoln Center, and numerous museums.

Beyond the arts, the neighborhood itself is vibrant and full of life. Riverside Park and Central Park offer stunning green spaces for recreation, relaxation, and outdoor study sessions. Bustling cafes, bookstores, and restaurants line the streets, giving students a perfect blend of cultural enrichment and urban adventure. The Upper West Side is not just a place to study—it's a gateway to New York City's energy and creativity. Whether you're taking in a jazz performance at a local club, visiting an art gallery, or enjoying a picnic by the Hudson River, there's always something exciting to discover.

At AMDA New York, the academic spaces nurture the creativity and talent of our students. Each facility is designed to inspire and support a diverse range of disciplines, from musical theatre and acting to film and dance. Our academic spaces are more than just classrooms; they are creative havens where students collaborate, rehearse, and perform, all while immersing themselves in the vibrant world of the performing arts.
